  • This calculator follows IS 6403:1981 standards for shallow foundation design
  • Bearing capacity factors (Nc, Nq, Nγ) are calculated based on Terzaghi's theory
  • Shape factors (Sc, Sq, Sγ) and depth factors (dc, dq, dγ) are applied according to IS code
  • For foundations below water table, effective unit weight should be used
  • Recommended Factor of Safety: 2.5-3.0 for static loads, 2.0-2.5 for including wind/seismic
